Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)

This training course provides participants with the mandatory health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. Participants will learn how to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to themselves and others. This course covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used in construction work.

Upon successful completion of the course requirements, a Statement of Attainment will be issued for:

  • CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

Participants will also receive a SafeWork NSW Statement of National WHS General Construction Induction Training as evidence of completing the training until their SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card) arrives. The Statement is valid for 60 days.

Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

Our two and three day training courses provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries.

Participants will gain an understanding of hazards and risk controls in and around a confined space and the requirements needed to enter and conduct work in a confined space in accordance with an issued permit. Participants who take the three day course will also learn how to use breathing apparatus and find out about confined spaces rescue requirements.

We offer a one day refresher course for those who already hold Statements of Attainment for the required units of competency or their equivalents issued within the last three years.

Work Safely at Heights

This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to work safely at heights in the resources and infrastructure industries. During the course, participants will learn how to effectively eliminate and control the risks associated with workplace falls by carrying out WHS requirements through safe work practices.

We offer a four hour refresher course for those who are required to work at height and have undertaken a full working at heights training course within the last three years.

Upon successful completion of the course requirements, a Statement of Attainment will be issued for:

  • RIIWHS204D Work safely at heights
